Oberlin-based Bassoon Virtuoso Dana Jessen releases album
Dana Jessen, who has performed locally for the Cleveland Uncommon Sound Project and the New Ghosts Series, has released a new album titled Winter Chapel. The album was recorded in Oberlin's Fairchild Chapel and "explores the physicality of sound through improvisations that are informed by a resonant acoustic space".

Jessen is a member of Splinter Reeds, a Bay-Area reed quintet, and released her solo work Carve in 2017.
Oberlin Modern Music Guild is hosting a remote performance of Jessen's improv trio in January. The trio features Jessen, Sam Pluta, and Eric Wubbels.
